When will you stop pumping ?

I’m exclusively pumping but it’s beginning to be a hassle - I feel bad about wanting to quit but it’s a lot. I’m leaking everywhere and they hurt once they’re full - I pump a good amount so that isn’t the issue but I’m just getting over it. 
When do you all plan on stopping ?

SO, my plan is to pump for a year but I agree with you... i find myself often past my pumping time, often an hour or more and then I worry about not maintaining the best schedule - not to mention just the fullness. 
My biggest issue is the middle of the night pumps, I miss sleep. My baby is almost 4 weeks and sleeps really well at night and I still get up to pump even if she is sfill sleeping. SO (drum roll please).... I found this thing called "SleepyMom Adapter" and it allows you to pump while you're laying on your side! It's by LakTeck. Look into it if night pumping is hard for you and has you thinking about giving up. I'm about to purchase one of my own because since reading about it - my sleepy self literally just lays on my side like I already have it 🙄 making me late to my pumping time when I finally come to and remember I haven't gotten it yet lol.

I was planning on breastfeeding. Then my letdown was too slow for impatient baby. Then I decided to pump and feed. That’s when I got put in antibiotics I can’t breastfeed with for over two weeks. Now I’ve decided to say fuck it and am formula feeding. It’s been a lot for me mentally. Still pumping and dumping but just until I’m dry.

Last week I was so over it and decided to wean off. I ended up getting mastitis in both breast and it was awful. So now I’m back to pumping regularly but I’m getting more sleep so I’m not as over it as I was. Definitely follow the advice of weaning off over time!

I don’t go back to work until January so I will have to see what my schedule is like then but definitely at least 6 months to a year is my goal. Since at a year they can transition to regular milk I believe 🤔
