High blood sugar four hours after meal
Hey all,
Super stressed out. Hate having gestational diabetes. 😠I feel like I can’t even properly indulge once in a while!
I’ve been doing well controlling my after meal numbers and watching my diet. Today we went out for dinner and I had super carb loaded meal, Diet Coke, and some dessert! I had skipped lunch cuz I wasn’t hungry and instead had an apple, some pumpkin seeds, and an energy bite midday. Before dinner I was legit starving! Before dinner I had been walking in the mall for about 1.5 hours. After dinner I walked a further 1hour 15 mins. Was feeling pretty exhausted by the end of it and drained. I did 15 mins elliptical in morning as well. Anywyas, I didn’t have my monitor with me so I checked my sugar four hours after the meal and it wa 131!!!
I’m super stressed and worried about my fasting number now and also wondering why my numbers didn’t go down despite all the exercise. Can too much exercise cause high blood sugar??
Before bed right now I’m having a collagen protein drink, 1/2 avocado, and 2tbsp pumpkin seeds. Hoping this will bring my levels down.
Feeling so defeated. 😞 how bad is this number? Will one high post meal reading affect the baby? What can I do to bring my numbers down?
Please help!!
