IVF / Egg collection nerves! Please ease my mind if you can 🙏

Hi everyone! I’m nervous about this so wanted to reach out to see if anyone had any words of wisdom / advice / comfort!

So it looks like hubby and I are headed towards IVF... I’m nervous about the hormone side effects, and the egg collection. From what I know so far, the egg collection is done under sedation - not GA... has anyone got experience of this?

I’m also likely to be having ‘mild IVF’ - has anyone had this? I’d be really grateful to learn more about it :) I’m literally just starting my research.

When I was going through my medical history with the nurse, I mentioned my last wisdom tooth extraction - I had it done in the chair with just a local - she said ‘wow you’re brave! :)’ made me think if I can do that, then I can do this right?!
