Anyone else buying a new house?

Our house is 2 bedroom 800 square feet and there is zero room for another living being so we have to move. This will be our third time buying, and by far it's the most stressful. We've probably looked at a dozen houses in person and made offers on FOUR and we've lost out on every single one. Even if we offer way over asking. It's so stupid!! I'm so over it! I'm thinking maybe we wait until the new year but I would love to get it over with. Anyone else have to move? How was your experience?

With our first we closed on our house and moved 2 weeks before he was born! It was the most stressful experience of my life! We started looking months in advance but the house we originally offered on fell through because it needed over 10k in electrical work and the owner wasn’t willing to do it! Then we found our dream home at the very last second. It worked out, but was a lot of work being 8+ months pregnant. We just moved states with my hubby’s job and are renting now. I told him I absolutely WILL NOT move 14 days before this baby is born. So we’ve already been in contact with a realtor and will start looking next month. We also live in a super competitive market, but we are crammed into a 1200 sq ft townhome. Our previous house was 2300 sq ft. So i’m not trying to bring home a new baby to this mess! Yes! We just moved into the state and closed on our house on Monday. It was and still is super stressful. We had to live in a hotel for about 40 days. And now we’re doing some renovations while living the house and trying to unpack what we can. Plus we have almost no furniture so have been doing a lot of shopping. 
It’s stressful but I’m glad we’re getting it done now instead of after the baby is born.

Yes! We just moved a few months ago, our old house was also 2 bed/1bath and 720 square feet. The bedrooms were hardly big enough for just 1 person, so we knew we wouldn’t have enough space for another baby! It was really stressful at first and I ended up having a miscarriage. But we were blessed to find out the very next month after, that we were pregnant again! Thank goodness all the stressful part of moving was done in between the miscarriage and getting pregnant again, so It was a lot easier for me to be less stressed! It only took us 9 days to sell our house, but it took about 6 weeks to close on our new one... so many issues!! But we finally closed, and got moved in! We initially planned to buy property and build our own home, my husband is a contractor so we planned to do it all ourselves! But We ended up finding our new house on the market and decided it was too good of a deal to pass up! We found a 4 bedroom/3bath over 2200 sq feet, on 5 acres, and we are loving it! Now we just wait for baby #2!

We're not ready to buy yet but we will be moving to a bigger home soon. We currently own a 2 bedroom trailer home. It's me and my husband and my 1 year old and 2 year old daughters share a room.

We're about to build which is stressful in its own way, but are currently in a 4800 sf house so plenty of room. We just flipped a house on the side and got competing offers and it sold in 4 days over asking. There are some tactics to make your offer better like a sales price escalation clause you can put in there. Make sure you submit your pre-approval with the offer, dont make it contingent on selling your current house, and shoot for a closing within 30 days. That will make your offer more attractive. I don't see the market cooling off any time soon. Spring is typically even more busy as people want to move before the next school year starts. Try not to let it stress you out, when it's meant to be it will happen!

Yep we have a 758sq ft house with only two bedrooms. We're going to try to make it work as long as possible while we look. I don't want to rush into a house we don't completely love and be stuck there settling for what we don't want. Theres enough room for two cribs in the one room so we will finish the updates already started to hopefully get more for the current house.
