Finally trying

R • She/Her

In anticipation for ttc in the next year or so, I’ve finally decided to track and attempt to lose weight and be healthy.

During my last pregnancy, I had horrible sickness through my whole pregnancy and lost about 15lbs during my first and second trimester. Before pregnancy I would almost never eat breakfast and didn’t necessarily have the healthiest habits all the time, but I made an effort to exercise and was working full time so I didn’t have time for a lot of snacking or being lazy around the house. That all changed during pregnancy when I had to eat breakfast even if I wasn’t hungry or I would be throwing up every 30 minutes for the rest of the day. I had to snack frequently and try to eat full meals as much as I could ordered by my doctor to try and get baby as much as possible since I was throwing most of it up anyways.

Unfortunately those habits have continued into my postpartum and I’ve gained almost 20 lbs over almost 2 years.

I’m now working with a great dietician and tracking my calorie intake with MyFitnessPal, along with starting some yoga and trying to get my body moving in ways that I enjoy. The biggest thing for me I think is going to be only eating when I’m hungry and honouring my body and trusting in it.

Wish me luck 🤞 so far so good on day one...
