Gender reveals..

How did you or how are you going to reveal your child's gender?

For my son back in 2014 we didn't know the sex until the day of the party and we used a pinata to reveal the gender. My aunt filled the pinata with blue candy. We were both shocked along with everyone else at the party.

This time since we're paying to find out early (16 weeks) I wanted to find out together at the ultrasound appointment and then reveal it that night to our families. We find out tomorrow what it is. But my fiancés mom last weekend was like why are you going to find out before everyone else whats the point of the gender reveal then? Idk maybe to reveal what our baby is going to be to everyone else... is it pointless to know what were having before anyone else? Or should someone else know what were having before we do like a different family member to reveal it to us?
