Disclaimer: this was my experience

I felt like people tried to make me scared of giving birth to my son towards the end of my pregnancy, and I'm so happy I didn't let anything bother me.

I had an amazing pregnancy, labour and delivery and if there is anyone currently afraid of what is to come I'd say to relax.

People always focused on the pain, yeah, contractions suck but you honestly forget about the pain as soon as it's over or as soon as you have your baby. I got an epidural, so as soon as I had that I was good for the remainder of my labour. Which obviously knocks me out of talking about anyone trying to go through it all the way BUT once you have your baby, I'm sure it won't matter.

Things I wish people had told me about. Vomiting and shaking. I vommited around 8cm and while breastfeeding my less than an hour old baby. I was never warned about that happening. And the epidural can make you shake. I couldn't sleep because of it, luckily tho, my labour was only 5hours.

My point is. If you're scared to give birth because of horror stories. Just remember, there are also pleasant delivery stories.

Wishing you all the best!
