Copper iud won’t stop bleeding!!!

So I got the paragaurd about 5 months ago and I was told by my doctor that it is normal to have irregular/ heavier /crampier periods as well as spotting here and there for the first couple months.

My period is heavier, as expected, but pretty regular. Only issue is the bleeding I have for days in between my periods. It’s so bad that I think it’s my actual period and the cramps are terrible! (I rarely cramp on my actual period) it comes and goes for about a week before my period. Its like having my period twice a month!

This really bothers me because it stops me from wanting to have sex which is the reason why I even got the iud in the first place!!!

I’m guessing this is ovulation bleeding/cramping??? (If that’s a thing 🥴)

If someone is going through the same thing or knows what to do please help!!💖
