Is it safe to eat watermelon 12/13 weeks pregnant ?

I am currently 12.5 weeks pregnant. I have read mixed reviews on consuming watermelon. Is it or isn’t it safe to eat?

I always thought watermelon was a good way to get your fluids up.  Not aware of any risks 🤷🏼‍♀️

Watermelon is actually really good for you since it also has a high water content.

I haven’t heard of any issues. I’d wash the skin of it like you would any other fruit or veggie you cut since the knife will be going from outside to in when cutting. 
Cantaloupe on the other hand may have a recall depending on if you are in parts of the US right now. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I think there is a risk if you buy pre-cut fruit because of bacterial cross contamination. But there is nothing wrong with watermelon itself!
