Does physical attraction grow?

Hi ladies I’m 25 and now in life I’m not really picky when it comes to “looks” but the thing is there’s this guy, he’s not the ugliest but he’s def not the best. Does physical attraction grow? Have you experienced this? He ALWAYS wears a hat so I’m use to it but those rare times he takes it off (he has no hair/ he’s loves to shave) he just looks completely different, I’m not as attracted to him. I’m worried, & genuinely curious, can that grow?

Absolutely. Personality and getting to know someone can absolutely influence how attractive you find them. Haven’t you ever thought someone was hot and then thought they were a lot less hot after finding out they were a total jerk?

i guess it can... but if i dont feel a raw sexual desire for the guy its a hard no for any potential relationship.

I wasn’t very attracted to my husband when we first started dating but I decided to see where things went because he was sweet and funny and we had so much in common. A few months into dating we could barely keep our hands off each other 😂 2 and half years later we are married and have a very healthy sex life. So yes, I know from experience that attraction grows. That Hollywood “spark” is just a chemical reaction that science shows fades within a year, the real thing builds with time

You should go look at a post I made about whether or not people’s husbands were their “type”. There’s a lot of good answers on there. To put it shortly, in the past, I’ve been with a few men that i was more mentally attracted to than physically. And we ended up lasting and having a great sex life! Your level of attraction grows as you get to know a person. With online dating, that makes things hard these days. In the past, people would form relationships more often in school, work, church, bars, etc just because their personality would shine through and you continue to talk based more off of personality than looks. Obviously he should be attractive enough that you’d at least want to touch him. The rest goes from there. I can definitely tell when someone has potential versus someone who i know for a fact I wouldn’t be attracted to.
