Spotting in the first and second trimester ?

I went in 2 weeks ago for spotting and my dr couldn’t figure out what it was from, but baby looked healthy and cervix was very long and closed. My dr said my cervix looked a little irritated though. Started spotting again a few days later, but again baby looked good at my ultrasound a second time. I’m still spotting a week later, but haven’t had an ultrasound in almost a week. I had a SCH starting at my 6 week ultrasound and it got pretty big, but has slowly started going away and can’t really be seen anymore in my ultrasounds. Has anyone else had spotting like this and everything was okay? I’m constantly worried. If you had spotting, what was the cause? I’m approximately 14 weeks and spotting started around 12 weeks.
