2)the state of being naive, innocent, or inexperienced in a particular context
There is also a social construct around the importance of virginity.

It's a word and there is a definition attached to said word.

I say socially constructed because when you go to the doctor they never ask if you’re a virgin but always ask if you’re sexually active. Also people in society have different views of virginity, some people say that if you do oral you still are one even though it’s a form of sex and vis versa. The term virginity is just a socially constructed term to slut shame women, that was explained to me from a gynecologist.
