HELP Can his toe be broken or sprained?

my son somehow fell like 10 min ago while i was in the restroom hes 5 so he like to jump off the bed, anyway should I take him to the ER to get checked or do yall think its fine? this is the first time this has happened so im not sure what to do!! help!!!

You can have small fractures in the foot/toe with just bruising and not know it. Especially the toes. So I would not say that it it’s def not broken. If just a toe, not much treatment for it other than splint, propping for swelling etc, but if it’s fracture of. Ines in the foot, could need a boot. Hope it feels better soon! I’ve broken two of my toes and it wasn’t fun! Don’t realize how much you move your toes involuntarily until one is injured lol

Looks sprained if it was broken, you’d know because it would be out of place facing outward. It’s pretty obvious when a toe is broken. Ice & elevate.
