Weakened sense of taste !!!

A couple of weeks ago I had a dentist appointment where I was told I had gum disease. They gave me a mouthwash to use twice a day and told me to mix it with water. Everything was going fine until this past Friday night I did not mix it with water by mistake. Ever since Saturday my taste has not been the same. I can still taste a little but not at all the same. It’s so dreadful!! I just want to be able to taste my food!!! I am going to call on the morning but for now has anyone had anything similar like this happen before? I’m wondering if it’s just a coincidence with it happening after the mouth wash incident.

I forgot to mention I did freak out and get a COVID test as I know it can be a symptom and I work with the public so obviously did not want to infect anyone. My test was negative.
