Help please - Divorce advice

Hi everyone

I am going to divorce my husband, we have a house together and both names on the mortgage. No children.

We have to be separated for a year before we can officially get a divorce, but my husband earns so much more than me. I want to move out and get my own little place.

Is my only option for him to buy me out or sell the property? What if he doesn’t buy me out and refuses to sell the house. Am I going to be stuck in the house, can he make me pay? He knows I can afford to pay the mortgage and a rental.

Please give me any advice you have.

I feel like I’m going to be stuck in this marriage.
