So we got married a little over a month ago and its still nagging at me so I thought I'd ask you girls.

My husband's parents didn't get us anything for our wedding. Now I'm not a materialistic person truly a simple "Happy Wedding" card would've been amazing but we didn't even get that. The only thing we had from them were the advise and date idea cards we provided for our guests to fill out the day of the wedding at the reception.

While on our minimoon my husband did ask his parents if they got us a card while we were going threw our box of stuff as we thought it was weird we didn't get anything from them and all his mother said was that they filled out the little card things.

Now neither of them acted like they were upset about the wedding. His mother was happy the whole night and kept hugging me. His father had had a little moment as my husband took my last name so that hurt him, but now his parents are separated so he's extremely happy he had taken my last name.

Any thoughts?
