He theratened our baby&me - Was I wrong?

I’m 14 weeks pregnant with a surprise baby. My “boyfriend” has bipolar and has been really moody and angry lately. Last night we started fighting and it spilled into this morning through text, as he was at work. He called me and started to get really aggressive and rude. Screaming, calling me names, putting me down, blaming me for arguing and “pushing him”, etc. I told him that if he didn’t stop being so aggressive that we would split and he wouldn’t be hearing as much updates about the baby until he changed. I would NEVER just cut him out of baby’s life unless he became a threat to them though. His response was that “he would make sure I didn’t have this baby if I wanted to do that shit”. I’m in shock that he would say that 💔

You need to cut him off completely until the baby comes. Get a restraining order, and break things off. Once baby is here, supervised visits only. He threatened your baby’s life, and possibly your own. There’s no excuse and you need to protect yourself.

Nothing that you could possibly say to him should elicit that kind of response. Having bipolar is no excuse...he should be on medication, and taking those medications to keep his moods stable.
That's terrifying that he said that to you. He went too far. I'd get a restraining order.

I have bipolar and have said and done some CRAZY things before getting on medication and that I couldn’t ever imagine saying or doing today.. with that being said it’s not your fault for any of it. It’s his issues he needs to work out within himself. I would definitely try to separate yourself from the situation to keep you & your baby safe. That may cause him to just be more angry but don’t give in to him. He’ll either see the light or he won’t and that’ll give you whatever answer you’re looking for

I really hope you mean ex-boyfriend. because that is the first signs and red flags of a manipulation narcissistic and toxic person. You do not want your child to grow up with somebody like that.Because if he calls you stuff in front of your child your child's going to pick that stuff up and call you it as well.

Protect yourself and your innocent, helpless child. Put you and the baby’s safety first. Take threats seriously. File a restraining order on him. And only allow him to see your child during supervised visits.

Bipolar might be an explanation but it’s not an excuse. Unless he can show that he is in therapy and taking medication I would cut him off. That’s not okay.
