Is it weird to be in a dating app?

Like if someone is on a dating a app does that mean there’s something wrong with them because they can’t date outside of an app?

It’s 2020, and really common.
I met my husband in 2015 on tinder. Everyone I knew that was single was on that app too. I think over 25 and single nowadays it’s weird not to be. There’s a good chance if you meet someone organically (hard with Covid restrictions!) they’re on dating apps too

Theres nothing wrong with people looking for a love interest on dating site and it doesn't mean that they can't meet people outside the app (its not like we walk pass people who has a "im single" on their forehead). Not everyone can meet someone inperson who is single or have same interest, the whole point of a dating site is getting to meet other single people and getting to know their interest which then lead into going on physical dates, even people who live far would travel to meet their dates. Absolutely nothing wrong with people on dating sites unless they dont ever want to meet. Me and my partner met on Facebook and we met in person after 2months of dating, now we've been together for 6years with 2kids and one on the way.

When i was on dating apps it’s because i didn’t know anyone in the area or how to get out and find ppl. I was so awkward and shy lol it made it so much easier. But you definitely have some weirdos out there so be careful

I’m a few weeks out from a breakup but I had been on dating apps this summer. I wasn’t going to meet someone if they weren’t quarantined with me or at the grocery store. It’s a pandemic so more people than average are having to rely on them. Like lol I’d never meet my person unless they busted into my living room. I don’t go anywhere

I was on a dating app, mostly because of my location and because I didn’t know anyone my age where I lived and didn’t have a way to meet people. I met the love of my life on it and now we’ve been together 3 years. It doesn’t mean there is anything wrong with you, it could just be a more convenient way of meeting people, especially if you’re shy around new people. Talking over a screen is always easier. :)
