How is your relationship with your kids step mom

No, my own family. But ill say this i think single step mothers are women that couldn't have their own children and forcing other womens kids to called them mom and want to feel involved in everything even if they have no business in the matter. So thank God.

I actually really like my children's step mom. We get along really well. The split between myself and the children's father was amicable, we just fell out of love. We are still friends and he gets along with my new husband too.
Works really well for co parenting!

I am the stepmom. I have never met the biological mother, as her parental rights were extinguished by the court when the kids were minors. They were teenagers when I met them and they all embraced me as mum pretty quick. I have never insisted that they call me mum, but I love it that they do. It makes me smile to hear my now 25 year old son call me Mummy. "Hello, Mummy!" They call me by my first name too, which is fine. They're all adults now and my daughters both have a child each and I'm grandma, which suits me just fine. None of the kids have a relationship with their biological mother right now and don't appear to want one, but if they choose to at some point, I will respect that. It's not up to me to decide what they do. I have no idea if I would get along with her if I met her, but I would do my best.
I get a little tired of the evil stepmother routine, as if we're all out to steal another woman's children. Some stepmothers may be like that, but not all and it's such a worn out stereotype. Women praise men to the heights when they step in and raise children that are not theirs. "Anyone can be a father, but it takes a special man to be a dad!" Hearts, flowers, and so on. Women, though? You're likely to have your face scratched off if you look cross-eyed at your stepchildren. There's no corresponding, "Anyone can be a mother, but it takes a special woman to be a mom," for stepmothers. We're all just vile witches, and apparently jealous, barren ones too based on a few comments in this thread, who need to stay in our lane. It really gets old after a while.

If anything (God forbid!) were to happen between my husband and I, I really could trust him to find someone that would love our son just as much as he loves him. He’s the kind of guy that knows what he wants, and especially for our kid. If anything were to happen, I don’t think I’d have to worry about him allowing terrible people around our son.

Their father has a gf but I’ve never met her. Our kids are over 16 so I’m not too worried. Their father is protective of them and has always been a good dad.  He’s not the type to date a criminal or junkie.

I don’t because my husband and i are together. But I do have a plan in place for just in case they were to ever have a step parent in general. I laid out strict rules.
I know it’s weird. But I plan for everything I can do there are no surprises at all.

My daughter doesn’t have a step mom yet..but as long as whoever my ex picks is good to her then I will be nice and supportive. I just want to make sure my daughter is happy
