When did you tell your family about your pregnancy?

I am so exited 🥳 but only 4 weeks along and nervous to tell anyone due to the fear that seems to exist during the first trimester. When did you tell your family and friends?

Told everyone right away, social media and close family. We don’t see a reason to wait. I had 3 miscarriages after my son but still just announced right away. Daughter was announced at 3.5 weeks lol

12 weeks immediate fam, 18 weeks rest of fam. I have had 2 chem @6 weeks, 9 weeks missed mC& 15 week mc so I didn’t want to risk it

We’re telling family and our closest friends on Thanksgiving. I’ll be 7w6d then and have my first scan the Friday before at 7 weeks exactly. We’ll make a public announcement after the first trimester.

10 weeks for our parents right after we saw the heartbeat. And 13 weeks for the the rest of family and friends. But you should do it whenever you feel confortable.

I told close people soon after finding out (people who would support me either way) others can wait till 12 weeks.

I told my immediate family right away, I was around 3 weeks. I figured that if I were to lose the baby, I would want their support. And I was so excited! I ended up telling managers at work earlier than I intended because I’ve been so incredibly sick! I told close friends here and there as I saw them in person, no specific timeline. I posted to social at 10 weeks. I had two ultrasound and heard the heartbeat twice, the timing just felt right. I’m glad I did! I was so tired of lying about how sick I am lol
The ONLY issue I’ve had is I will wait to tell my immediate family until closer to when I’m ready to tell everyone in the future pregnancies. It’s my Dad’s first grand baby and he’s obviously excited, but he didn’t respect my wishes not to tell people yet. He told some friends and extended family before I was ready. So in the future, I will wait a little longer to avoid that happening again 🤷🏼‍♀️ overall I’m happy with my choices!

We told family super early. Found out at 3w3d and told family at 4w. We figured (God forbid something happen) it would be good to have the support. We are at 7w4d as of now and ultrasound last week was perfect. Waiting to tell friends and post on social media until Xmas. We will be 14 weeks by then.
