Look how cool this is!
We finally have power and a new pole! I’m just posting in appreciation for these dudes because they had a freaking mess to fix tonight and it only took them a few hours and we watched them work their freaking butts off fixing it.
It was really cool watching them do this.

This is what they showed up to
Zoom in to the pole. It was snapped in half.

Then on the other side of the property this pole had been hit so hard that the other pole in our yard that it was connected to was RIPPED out of the ground. It was in concrete and the concrete slab was of course ripped out too which gutted a camper trailer that was parked on top of it.
So my post explaining all of this is in the rant room. It explains what happened, and I also have another update for that. They knew she was under the influence given her actions, so they searched her vehicle and found drugs.
This woman went to jail.
charged with DUI, assault on an officer, drug possession, property damage. She’s definitely not getting a slap on the wrist.
Oof I should clarify, the accident was not fucking cool. It was scary as hell. I had never felt fear like that walking up to that car, I thought I was going to find this woman dead but then she just screamed and threatened us for trying to help her and then punched the officer in the face who showed up and immediately went to her aid. The accident also destroyed some of our property and we were without power for hours and had to go get water because twin babies lived here and needed bottles.
Our back yard Essentially became a death trap due to the downed power lines littering it
It was just cool watching them figure out how to fix this and how they did it. They had to use a freaking crane.
Whatever happens to this woman and her life, I hope to god she never gets into a car while intoxicated ever again. This was a good thing that she didn’t kill anyone or herself.
