How to parent my 3 year old?

My 3 year old is stubborn than a rock. He talks and hit back. He slipped in the bathtub and I asked if he was okay, right then he got angry and wanted to hit me. Seems like he didn't like the pressure on him? And whatever we say to him he later back fires it at us. For example; we say "don't do that, that's not nice" or "keep your hands to yourself" he later use those against us lol. It's so hard to tell him not to do this or that or even listen yet he dont care. And he also acts like a cat, he will meow at us and even try to scratch us. Please help a desperate mom
