Tell boyfriend to move out

Would it be wrong to tell my boyfriend to move out knowing my apartment is what he now calls home because he didn’t have one before, he was in an extended stay. I don’t want to waste anymore time. We’ve been together 6 years we got together when i was 18 he was 24

now I’m 23 he’s 29 and we haven’t accomplished SHIT together as a couple. I love him, he’s a cool, funny, charming guy but I just don’t know. My mom said that i should give him a chance and allow him to pay rent if that’s what he said he gone do but how can I be sure of that?? I’m not dependent on him because i made sure that i got lease that is feasible for me to afford.

My friend told me to from the very beginning do not let him move in with me. My name is the only one on the lease so if shit goes left I’d lose it all.

My thing is what if i do give him the benefit of the doubt and it works out. It possibly could though right? 🤷🏽‍♀️ this apartment could be his motivation to go harder so he doesn’t have to go back.
