No? Never take anything more then recommended. If tum's isn't working with appropriate dosage, then move on to a different antacid like zantac or pepsid. Look into your diet as well to find triggers, and add ginger since it's great for heartburn as well as morning sickness.

Yes! I was on anti-acid medicine before becoming pregnant, but I had to stop taking it to be safe with the baby. So I already had this problem but it’s 100 times worse now. Doctor suggested trying Pepcid since Tums just weren’t doing the trick. Hoping that works better 🤞🏼🤞🏼

I just switched to  chewable papaya enzyme. I do keep tums smoothies in my purse for on the go, but at home I use the papaya. 
I'm really hope the wives tale of heartburn means lots of hair is true. My first 2, both boys, had almost no hair lol. This one is a girl and I'd love for her to have lots of hair!

I'm on pantoptazole, tums, and Mylanta. (All cleared by my doctor)
Still waking up with fire in my chest and barfing up all my meals into my mouth 😅 I only eat eggs, oatmeal, soup, and waffles, too!

I knew a woman who took a lot of tums for her pregnancy heartburn and it caused her placenta to calcify! She came close to losing her daughter. Please be careful and only take the correct dosages !! I don’t want to scare anyone but just want to spread awareness.
