Cold hands at night?

Question

I just started to not swaddle my baby at night but her hands are so cold! Can I putt scratch mittens on her while sleeping? Is this safe? 
How do you keep your baby’s hands warm?

I read that their feet and hands get that cold because they can’t regulate their body temperature just yet but if their center or back of their neck is warm they’re more than likely fine. I used mittens with my son until recently because he started grabbing his pacifier and is trying to learn how to self sooth with his thumb but sometimes his hands feel a lil cold occasionally

Actually cold hands are not at all a sign that baby is cold. If anything it's a good sign as long as baby has a warm chest  there's nothing to worry about. Swaddling arms in does help though if you're concerned.

Our guy wears mittens if we keep his arms out because he is on oxygen and will pull his cannula out if he doesn’t. His hands are still cold though in the mornings.

I put a blanket sleeper and swaddle him over that .. his body is warm so hands should be fine esp when they are swaddled in 😀

I know I had this problem too bc my baby isn’t a huge fan of swaddling, but he sleeps fine and it doesn’t seem to bother him. On cold nights I put a sweater that is one size to big so the sleeves are long on him and cover his little hands.

Yeah my baby’s hands are also cold but his body is warm ... andddd .... when I change his diaper .. I can see that he’s warm ... 😂😅
