When did you stop giving morning bottle? My 1yr old hardly eats breakfast but wants morning bottle.

My 1 year old prefers a bottle of whole milk over breakfast. She’s very picky with food now. So she’ll hardly eat breakfast after she has a bottle. I’ve tried breakfast before a bottle and she’ll do the ASL sign for milk, but she doesn’t want it in a soppy cup. I’m just not exactly sure how to wean her off. She only gets a bottle 2x a day.

My son is 18m and still has the bottle or will refuse his milk.
My ped said its fine up until 24 months . 
But I always give milk before meals still

Just stop giving the bottle, it’ll likely be a point of contention for a couple of days, but then she’ll start eating and not need the milk (or will drink it in the cup). It’s important to set the standard in that way- we can “cave” for our kids now and then, but they need us to be the strong constant that guides them in the right direction.

I just started giving milk in a sippy cup. I let him run setting and hold it then feed him when he finishes it.

My daughter weaned herself off the bottle at 8 months; she preferred the 360 cup.   
Now I'm working on getting her to like an open cup.
