Did you get a stroller w/ a compatible car seat?

Did you find it useful or was it a feature you ultimately did not really use? I found a stroller I love but the car seat I also like is not compatible. Wondering if I should compromise on the stroller or if it’s okay that it doesn’t match.

I never took my car seat out of the car. It’s heavier than the baby is! So I didnt find it easier. Also, the one piece of advice my dad was given before they had me and what he passed down to me is “always hold your baby. The time goes by so fast and these bonding moments are priceless” and I really took that to heart. I wore my baby everywhere

I got one thinking I would use it all the time. But then I read up on how dangerous it is for infants to be in the car seat for longer than necessary while driving. I hate that car seat/stroller combos give the illusion that it's safe to leave baby sitting in the car seat. I ended up carrying baby in a wrap 90% of the time and just using the stroller for dr. appts. I wish I had just waited and spent the money on a nicer stroller when she was older/too heavy for the wrap rather than the combo when she was a newborn.

Most definitely. I got a travel system and still love it 3 years later with my 2nd baby! 
I love baby trend. I was given uppababy and broke within 3 months of using it.

I got the chicco keyfit 30 and the caddy frame to go with it, and it was perfect. Easy to open/close and light enough for me to get in and out of the trunk easily. Looking forward to busting it out again for my 2nd.

Yup! Got an infant carset that fits into the stroller. Its a safety first brand 
We use it for our first and now second. 
I absolutely love it. And its so easy

Another option is you can get a stroller frame. It's an inexpensive frame that you can latch the carseat onto. If you're planning on going places with the baby, I find it extremely helpful to be able to keep baby in the bucket seat vs in and out of the car, trying to support the baby's head, get your bags, possibly wake up can't etc until the baby is bigger and can sit up.

I did not, and I'm happy with the choice. 
We kept the convertible carseat in the car and used it since birth (baby was born at 8.9 pounds, so it was safe 👍). We wore him for the first few months when we were out of the house. But with covid, we don't go out much anyways. Now that he's bigger, we have an unexpected stroller that he sits in (he started using it once he could sit independently at ~6 months). 
We saved a lot of money. $99 for the carseat and it'll last years, and $60 for the stroller that we use a bit everyday for a walk 🤷

Honestly I did not simply because I didn’t plan on taking the car seat out of the car. Unless I was grocery shopping.
I kept stroller in the house that was separate from the car seat I bought and kept the crease at in the car. That way getting in and out of the car was easier because I had other kids and stuff to carry.
I will keep it going.

It's so helpful when baby is little. Transfer the car seat/carrier to the stroller and you're off on a stroll, so easy!
