Wisdom teeth removal

I got my wisdom teeth out 4 months ago and one of them recently started hurting again. After about a week of it being swollen on my jaw I went to my doc and got some scans and they said everything looks fine and it might be taking longer to heal but they’d put me on antibiotics if it didn’t stop in a week. It’s been a week but I really don’t wanna go on antibiotics so I want anyone’s opinion on if I should wait out the next two months to make it to the fully healed 6 month mark and see what happens then or if there’s anything else I can do.
