“Friend” slacked off on group capstone

Graduating college this year, so we have a big capstone project. I grouped up with my friends and got stuck with one that I already knew wasn’t gonna pull her weight. I expected her to do less than my other friend and I, but still at least do something. but I WAS VERY WRONG. She did exactly 0% of it. We’re all part of a friend group so I was talking to another mutual friend (mf) and they said that she was going through a rough time and basically it was boy trouble and her anxiety made it worse, which is why she was unable to do anything. IM PISSED because I feel like that’s not a legitimate excuse and I want to take her name out completely but of course my other friend is way too nice for that. She’s expressed to mf that she’s aware that she did nothing and she feels bad. She has apologized to the group and said she’d try her best but then proceeded to do nothing.

We have to do anonymous peer reviews at the end and I’m conflicted with either throwing her under the bus or just letting it slide.

If I throw her under the bus the prof might talk to us or something and then my group would know what I said about her. This might be backlash for me and affect the way our other friends see me.

Should I be the “asshole” or let it slide

(should really listen to people when they say DONT WORK WITH FRIENDS😞)
