Teething Suggestions

So my little guy definitely cut a tooth today . We found out when he started screaming uncontrollably and only would settle my nipple . I feel so unprepared as I expected this to happen later . He will be 5 months on Dec 1st .

What are your tips ? How long does the fussiness last? How can he be more comfortable?

P.S. my husband stayed home with the baby today bc I had to actually travel for work . He called me at 5pm at his wits end . Literally said he was broken . He then followed up with telling me he loved me and how he appreciates me as a mom . It was such a little sweet comment in the midsts of two unprepared first parents .
