Twin pregnancy

Olivia

My twin pregnancy has been so incredibly hard on me from the start. I’m only halfway there and I am so burnt out, emotional, and anxious about these two kiddos. I feel like it’s one hurdle after another and I just want my poor babies to be healthy, they are such fighters already and I just pray god allows them to hold on. I have severe placenta previa, a large subchorionic hemorrhage and gestational diabetes. I’ve been actively bleeding since 6 weeks. I am on bed rest and it’s hard because I have a 2 year old. I am just so terrified. Words of encouragement or anyone who can relate? How did you all cope with your difficult pregnancies?

You are definitely a strong mama to be dealing with all that. I had preeclampsia and GD with my first two children, but it doesn’t seem to compare to what you are going through. Maybe try to have some sort of a countdown (paper chains, calendar just crossing out dates, etc.) or just something positive to keep you busy/focused on your goal of 38 weeks or whatever your goal is. I know when I’m trying to get through something, staying busy and focused on the end results helps get me through it. Best of luck!! You are getting close!!!

How far along are you? I hope everything works out. All you can do is take it day by day and celebrate each little milestone. I can relate - I had a traumatic twin pregnancy. I had a twisted ovary requiring emergency abdominal surgery in my 1st & second trimesters, a subchorionic hematoma with heavy bleeding for 10 weeks straight, and velamentous cord insertion with one twin who later ended up with IUGR. My whole pregnancy was scary and I never expected both my babies to make it. But they did! They were born healthy at 37 weeks and are now 2 years old. Wishing you the best of luck with everything.
