Weaning?? How do I even start?

I feel like I've waited too long now but also won't stop abruptly. I planned to nurse till my son is 2. Well thats in January and idk what to do lol. I feel recently he's gone back to nursing more than eating. Might be from teething bad or something but my main concern is night time. He still dream feeds as I've heard it called where he doesn't fully wake but he is restless until he finds the boob. We bed share btw. Any suggestions on how to start weaning? I try to distract him or say no during the day to not make nursing as often but it sometimes won't work and he'll get very sad and cry.
