Did a membrane sweep work for you?

I’m having contractions every 5 minutes but am stuck at 3cm. I have to be 5cm to stay at the hospital. Dr did a membrane sweep to help things move along. Curious if that actually works

I had one at 38+6 weeks. I was 3cm and 50% effaced when I had it done. Has my daughter 2 days later at 39+1 weeks.

I slowly lost my mucus plug then water broke 2 days after my sweep! It was either 2 or 3 days after, can’t remember now 😅

My sister had one at 40wks. She was 2cm dilated. Her water broke about 9pm that night. Baby was stuck behind her pelvic bone and she didn’t dilate more than 5cm. They had to do an emergency csection at 1am
