C-section or Vaginal delivery?

For any Mama's who have had both a c-section and a vaginal delivery experience, if you had another baby and got to choose how you would deliver,  which route would you take? Why? TIA!

I had two csections not by choice Heath reasons.  I’m pregnant with my 3rd an they said when I’m 6 months they will let me know if I can do V-bac if they give me the ok I am definitely going for vaginal this time ! 
C-sections are the worst healing ! Everything hurt. Laying down , seating down. Showers , bathrooms , when it’s cold out your scar hurts , you need more help getting the baby , or doing anything for a while. Took 3 -5 weeks to fully feel good again 
Vaginal stories ( mom , sister , cousin , mother in law ,). They had a quicker recovery. They didn’t need help with showers , or grabbing there babies. They was good in a matter of 3 days to feel themselves again , they did hurt a little after birth with bathroom but that’s it. 
I’ll say if you have a choice an you have no Heath issues. Go vaginal because if something goes wrong during csection you may never get the chance to do vaginal and a csection is not the easy way out.

I had a very tough vaginal delivery- complications with me and my son. So the next baby, my doctor suggested c section and we went that route. 3rd baby and I had the option of a vbac
Or c section, and due to baby being breech we did a repeat c section!

I've had 2 vaginal births and 2 c sections. I hated my c sections. The surgery itself was pretty easy, but the recovery was so awful. It's 1 day of labor and pushing vs weeks painful recovery, pain pills,  not being able to lay flat for over a week,  not being able to get up from the bed or sofa while holding the baby. Plus you can get an epidural. You need a spinal for a c section anyway.

I had an emergency C with my daughter and I feel like I had a different experience than most during recovery. I was barely in pain, only when laughing, and recovery was easy for me. My scar healed nicely and didn’t bother me at all. Everyone is different though.

Have you had a csection previously or is there a medical reason you might need one? Typically they don’t let you choose csection unless you’ve already had one. I wasn’t going to comment as I’ve only had 2 vaginal deliveries but since everyone is commenting only csection experience I’ll say my vaginal deliveries were great and I had very easy recoveries. I walked to my postpartum room within a couple hours  after giving birth and never had any issues doing any daily things post delivery. Sure it was sore but other than that I didn’t need assistance with anything. I would only get a csection if that was the only option personally.

I had two natural and then my daughter c-section because she was big. I am now 6 weeks and want to go natural. I had such bad gas pains it was way worst then a natural labor and standing straight to walk was like death. 2 weeks later I had the worst pain across my chest and comes to find out I had air trapped in my diaphragm from the c-section. The c-section wasn’t bad but the aftermath of it was horrible. I suffer from stomach problems since the c-section.

C section. I had to have a c section with my first because he was frank breech and I totally choose c section for this pregnancy now. I had a beautiful experience. I got to have instant skin to skin, I was well taken care of, my recovery was hard at first but support and help made it a lot easier! ❤️ this is just my experience but I just had a beautiful c section experience.

This is a tough one for me. I’ve had 1 vaginal and 2 c-sections. My first section I had a really tough recovery but the second one was smooth!! I’m not sure if it’s because I had already had one? Unfortunately, I don’t tend to carry past 34wks so induction is really difficult at the point in time. I will opt for a section this final pregnancy. I typically advise anyone who can go vaginal to do it! Recovery is typically so quick!
