What is cluster feeding?

My six week old son has been nursing almost all day!! And when hes not eating, he’s super fussy. Its driving me crazy. Is this considered “cluster feeding”? What do I do?

This is exactly what my 9 week old did at 6 weeks and I thought it was the end of the world. She just Jone stop wanted to feed. Hang in there 😭

He could be going through a growth and that’s why he is constantly feeding

Yep, HUGE growth spurt at six weeks so you're right on time for that. 6 weeks was the worst spurt for me. I just set up on the couch with drinks and snacks and hubs ordered takeout until it was over a few days later. Avoid the temptation to top up with formula, baby cluster feeds to stimulate your breasts to make more milk so if you top up with a bottle you hinder that process. Keep calm and latch on as they say. I promise it gets so so much better after 3 months when the intense cluster feeding spurts are over. Hang in there!
