So anyone else not have an easy baby?

Question

I read in this group constantly about everyone having their babies sleeping 10+ hours straight and my baby wakes up every 1-2 hours, doesn’t nap anywhere except in my arms, and when he’s awake during the day he’s unhappy and crying unless he’s being held. 😞
I feel like the odd man out here.

I think being up every few hours is the more normal thing.

You’re actually normal.. moms in the same boat probably feel the same so they don’t comment 😂 my first was a horrible sleeper,second woke up every three hours til one, and my third is a pretty good sleeper but does still wake up to feed at night. It’s all In The range of normal, hang in there.. it does get better.!

My baby sleeps through the night because we paid a couple thousand dollars for a sleep consultant lol. Some babies sleep on their own and others just don’t.

Honestly I felt my baby was very difficult until I took ‘Taking Cara Babies’ newborn course and that changed everything for me. It helped me realize when my baby was getting overtired, showed me how to put my baby down for naps, and how to best setup the day for a good night sleep. 
Not sure if you already follow all her recommendations but that’s what made the difference for me!

You’re not alone. Lol mine will sleep about 3 hours a time, occasionally 4-5 but naps during the day are impossible unless she’s being held as well. And she’s almost 16 lbs so I’m exhausted 😂 I think once she can crawl, or sit up, it will get a little better.

My first just turned two and he was a pretty chill baby, easy going. My second is 5 months and he never lets me put him down,  he has reflux and he cries almost none stop when my husband watches him. He's been such a difficult baby and it makes me feel like we must not be meeting his basic needs or something 😕

My first was a very very difficult baby. She cried A LOT and we had a lot of problems with her sleep for a year. People who don’t have especially difficult babies can’t understand just how hard it is. But it gets better. Even when it feels like it will be difficult forever!!

It took me three tries to get a good sleeper! My first is 3 and only started sleeping through the night in March. My 2 year old is autistic and is up from 11 pm to 3 am! But my little baby is a freaking angel who has slept through the night since 3 months. Not that I can get any extra sleep from it though with my 2 year old robot who apparently thinks sleep is for the weak 😬. That kid goes 100 mph all day long, you'd think he'd need some time to recharge his freaking batteries!

I personally advocate for sleep training because it’s done wonders for my kids’ sleep schedules, but I know its not for everyone. If you have any questions, I’d be happy to discuss with you :)
