2 weeks and still have a poor latch
I honestly feel like giving up, I'm overwhelmed. My nipples hurt so much and my baby is gassy from an oversupply and therefore also doesn't seem to have a good latch. My nipples hurt so much and she thinks she's hungry all the time even when she's not.
We've figured some ways of managing it (sticking to one breast for a few feedings, trying to calm her or help gasiness when shes fussy) but it's really hard to tell when she's hungry or not and I'm in so much pain I have been crying every time she tries to latch on. The worst part is I DO have support, and it just feels like everything's good when a midwife shows up but when she's not here it just all falls apart and I can't get a good latch again.
Is this normal? Can it get better? I feel like my baby has learned to latch improperly and it's too late to change anything now 😩😭
