My partner owes me & this friend money.
(He owes us pretty much the same)
It’s almost Christmas and I’m struggling for money, I’ve been selling some of my clothes and makeup just to afford Christmas presents. My partner eventually had enough money to pay 1 of us back and chose his friend who works full time in a well paid job, whereas I am not starting my new job until January and living off pennies a month. He knows I’m selling my clothes and makeup to try and get by, yet he chose to pay back his friend who earns over the average wage a month. 
Sorry if I sound like a bitch but would this annoy you? Surely you’d pay back your girlfriend who hasn’t got money. I’ve spoke to him about it and he got pissed off at me telling me to stop moaning I’ll get it eventually.

Why not 50-50? I think that would have been the fair thing to do. Did you ask him why? Maybe there is a reason?
Even though you are struggling you are not more entitled to the money than the friend is. It would've been kind, yes absolutely.

I would never expect my boyfriend to “pay me back” for anything I “gave” them.
I don’t know what your situation is as far as how much you and how long you’ve been together. But, personally, I’d never lend over $100 to anyone and NEVER to a short-term boyfriend.
I watch a ton of Judge Judy on Facebook and she always says never to loan anyone money unless you understand and are okay with not getting it back. Because if they give it back, great, they kept their word. But if they don’t, they’re not always obligated because they can say it was a gift.

Whenever I lend my boyfriend money (or buy something for him online for him to pay back) I never worry about when I’ll get the money. He owed his friend money for ammo while owing me money for a tv and he paid his friend back first 🤷🏻‍♀️ I always say don’t lend money if you NEED it back. I’m going to be with him forever I’ll get it back in some way at some point. Who did your boyfriend lend from first? If it’s this much of an issue I’d say the logical answer would be to pay whoever you took from first back. And in the future don’t lend money you can’t afford to lose.

I think it’s weird you have to pay him back for anything. I just ask my guy for more money like hay babe I’m hella broke can you send me $50 to last the week or something. Maybe just ask him that and explain the situation, but man it’s weird he wants you to pay him back I can’t even BE with a guy who asks me to pay his money back. I hate 50/50 relationships. SMH

I think it’s fine, but I also wouldn’t be getting him anything or selling my stuff to buy people stuff this Christmas. It’s obvious you don’t have the funds this year and that’s okay. You don’t have to buy people things. He’ll pay you back, but in the meantime save what you can.

Talk  to him about it, explain why it has upset you. And find out how soon he plan and paying you back. 
Going forward I wouldn’t lend money to anyone especially if you are struggling financially
