What week did you start getting checked to see if you were dilated and all that stuff? I have an appointment coming up and I’ll be 34 weeks and a couple days during the appt so far they just haven’t checked if I’m dilated or anything yet when do they start doing that?

They don’t need to until you are in active labor. With my first, I got checked when they started induction at 40 weeks. 
With my second pregnancy, my dr checked me at 39.5 weeks.

My doctor does them optionally starting at 36 weeks

They might not, it’s not necessary. My doctor offered at 36 weeks but I declined.

My doctor said she won’t check unless I ask. You can be dilated for weeks and it means nothing.
