When should I expect to have cramps/heavy bleeding

I’m pretty confident I’m having a miscarriage (long story short-I’ve been spotting and went in for dating ultrasound and I am 2 weeks behind, I know when I ovulated based on tracking bbt-showed 6w1d and I should be 8w1d and they couldn’t get heart beat bcuz they said it’s early). I’ve been spotting (light) the past three days. No cramps or heavy bleeding yet. When should I expect this to happen?

This was exactly what happened to me. I started spotting at 6 weeks so went for ultrasound and baby’s heartbeat was really low and it measured 5 days behind. Went in two weeks later and baby measured 6 weeks and no longer had a heartbeat. I chose to pass it naturally instead of schedule the DC. So from that point I spotted pink/brown for another 2 weeks before it turned red. I was at work on a Friday and noticed in the bathroom it was now dark red and small clots were passing so I went home and laid in bed and was like okay it’s probably going to be happening soon. I was having light cramps at this point. I went to the grocery store to get a bunch of grief snacks and on my way back I started cramping more intensely and felt lots of pressure in my back. When I got back home (about 7pm) I laid on the couch and that’s when the cramping really ramped up and I began passing baseball sized clots about every 30 mins to an hour. the last one was at 2am. It was way more blood then I anticipated. I thought it would be like a heavy period but it was waaay more than that. I called the advice nurse and they did advise me to come in but I had my 2 year old at home so I was like okay if I pass another clot then I’ll go in. I didn’t pass another 🤷🏼‍♀️ That Sunday was Mother’s Day so I went to brunch with my husband and son. I wasn’t cramping anymore just brown spotting. But when I walked up the stairs to the restaurant I felt another huge clot come out. that was the final one. The brown spotting stopped completely a couple days later.

I had a blighted ovum that they found at 8 weeks. I didn’t start bleeding and miscarry til 10 weeks.

Some people need medical help to assist the miscarriage there isn’t really a “you should miscarry by this time rule.”
