My husband is a complainer and hates doing “extra” work

I have been married for a tear now but the problem has been going on ever since we began dating. My husband complains about how much he hates his life all the time. He always says that it sucks and complains about his job.

Ive tried to help with thinking maybe its depression. Thats not it. And ill tell him to try to find a new job, he doesnt show any effort in doing so.

With COVID its gotten worse and its gotten to the point where if he finishes a long day, he expects not to put out anymore effort for the rest of the day. Meaning he shouldn’t have to clean, go to the store, normal things an adult would have to do. But then he complains that the place is dirty, he doesnt have the food he wants, or that he hates always having to do stuff.

Its frustrating because i try my best to make him happy and keep him happy but it always seems to be that he’s in a bad mood.
