Pediatrician

Ok I’m kinda venting here. I took my 8 week old to the peds. His regular pediatrician wasn’t in so we saw a different one. He has reflux and I was hoping to get him on meds like my daughter was on when she was a baby. So I was talking to this dr telling him he sleeps by me with his head slightly elevated on my arm, and I told him I would like him to sleep by himself but he won’t lay flat in a crib or bassinet (yes I’ve tried elevating and crib wedge) and the dr goes “have you tried a car seat” and I go whats that (not thinking this doctor would possibly tell me to let him sleep in a car seat) sure enough that’s what he was implying. Told me to let him sleep in a car seat. I go isn’t that dangerous? And he says nooo it’s fine. So I’m just in disbelief this dr told me that as I know it’s dangerous and would never consider it.
