I had a consult with a psychotherapist who asked me questions such as where I was born, what year I came to this country, if I came with my family, how old my parents are, the specific job they have, what college I go to, if I'm married, etc. I've had two therapists/counselors before and neither have asked me such personal questions. Is it within the scope of practice for this therapist to ask me such questions?
