My Dr had me come in for an early scan at 5 weeks and 2 days. She showed me one gestational sac with a yolk sac which was measuring at 5 weeks and she continued to move around a bit back and forth. She then said ‘here’s another sac!!!’ 😲 But this sac didn’t have the yolk sac yet so she told me that it may just too early and it could catch up or it may not progress. Even though I had a slight inkling it may be twins due to symptoms and my hcg numbers I was still beyond shocked to see the two gestational sacs! My husband was even more shocked haha. I now have to wait two weeks for another scan for two weeks!! This is going to be the longest two weeks of my life! Has this happened to anyone before and the other one caught up? Or has anyone only seen the gestational sac at 5 weeks and later saw the heartbeat?

UPDATE: We have seen one heartbeat at 5 weeks and 6 days and the other sac now contains a yolk sac!! Will be having another scan in 10 days and am praying for the second heartbeat! 💓 💓
