Going into labor before strep b test- will I get antibiotics?

If I go into labor before I get my strep b test done and results back will they give me antibiotics regardless or will the be able to test when I would get to the hospital?

They'll test at the hospital. No good hospital would just administer antibiotics without cause. Antibiotic resistance is literally a huge problem and it's the last thing they want to do.

I did the test the week I delivered so we knew ahead of time but baby came real fast. They want you to have the antibiotics at least 4 hours before labor then throughout. Well my baby had express passes for exit and we had about.35 min in the hospital (all of which was waiting to be admitted and then holding off pushing until my ob got there). I got maybe 20 min of it before she was born but they said some was better than none. They just monitored my baby very very closely but we were both fine thankfully. My entire labor from very first sign to holding my baby was only a few hours so usual protocol was not gonna work.

That might depend on the hospital. At my hospital you get antibiotics if they don’t know your status.
