I’m new to this page and really pleased to have found it.

My hubs and I have been trying for 2 years to have a baby with no luck. I sought out help from my GP last Feb and have had bloods taken and ultrasounds done in that time.

They found a blockage in my left Fallopian, either a cyst or an inflamed fluid but unsure until I have the HyCosy test done... I was informed by my GP in July, this year I’d be referred to a fertility clinic for further tests but I’d need to have a BMI of 30 or less... mine was 42.

Since July I’ve lost 3st 2lbs and worked bloody hard to get closer to that (bmi now 37.7) however, I had my first appointment on Monday regarding fertility and they pretty much fobbed me off until I get the 30 bmi, they decided the blockage wasn’t my reason for not conceiving and it was only down to my weight. I’m under no illusion, I know weight loss can help but I’m vexed as my GP and the radiographer believed it was the blockage.

I guess what I’d like to ask is if anyone else has had a similar experience and if they’d share anything?
