Do I disclose my pregnancy at an interview?!

I’m a nurse. I have a job interview next week... I’m 13 weeks pregnant and barely showing... really only to me. I cant decide whether I just say it right away, or wait till further in the process? Help!

Don’t tell them. Once you start to show mention you just found out you’re pregnant but still plan on working to the best of your ability. Companies can’t fire you if you are pregnant but they can choose not to hire you because you are pregnant. Be good in every other aspect at your job and work hard and when you start showing announce.

I’d tell them. Jobs like nursing are huge on integrity and honesty. They will not be able to fire you for hiding it, but they’ll certainly have an issue with trust in the future. You may not have a job when you come back from having the baby. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Wow, this helped me, i think i might be pregnant and i was called for an job interview from a well paid company but i'm scared they wont hire me if they know, im not going to say anything till i sign a contract and my baby bump is showing...thank you😀👍🏿👍🏿

Also wanted to add that it can affect the patient assignment you’re given. Two specific scenarios being COVID patients and potentially violent patients. You really need to let them know.

I did. I took a new nursing job before I found out I was pregnant but didn’t start it until I was 20 weeks. I emailed my new manager at 13 weeks to tell her. No problems. I’m pretty sure it’s considered discrimination to not hire you just because you’re pregnant.

You need to tell them. It's the right thing to do. don't deceive them and catch them off guard. Nobody likes that.
