When do you start cleaning babies ears?

My babies almost 5 months and someone told me I don’t have to clean their ears this early. Today I noticed my baby has a lot of wax how do I take care of it? Or do I leave it alone.

Wipe what came out with a facecloth. My son had a lot too. Don’t stick anything in the actual ear though

Just wipe the outside off. Earwax is there for a reason. Leave it be.

You shouldn't be sticking anything in their ears period. The ears are self cleaning so the wax will come out on its own. When that happens you can clean it out of the shell of their ears.

Mine is 4 months and I’ve noticed since like 3 months he has waxy ears. I read it’s normal and their ears and stuff are still developing but I don’t want him going around with wax globs so I use a baby wipe and my finger to get the big chunks. Idk if that’s right or not but it’s my dang baby! Lol!
