Do you have tv on around your 1 yo or let them watch kids tv?

Just wondering what you other moms think about 1 yo watching the kids channels etc. I’ve heard loads about no tv at all before 2 but does everyone actually stick to that or think it’s fine for them to have tv time?

Our tv is always on. She doesn’t pay any attention to it though unless a song comes on that catches her attention. Otherwise she pretty much ignores it.

Our TV is always on. We only have the one. She pays ZERO attention to it. I’ve actually tried putting on Sofia the first or Fancy Nancy and she will watch for about 2-3 mins and then is back to playing. She doesn’t care for it as of now.

Lol have at it if you wanna skip tv till their 2     my 2yp is obsessed with mickey mouse so we watch that a good bit.  My 1yo rarely pays any attention to the tv

I let him watch tv for 20 minutes here or there like when I'm making lunch or if I need to do something and need a quick distraction, or every once in a while just because. I try to pick educational things and I find that it can be beneficial. He often points at things he sees and "talks" about things.
We try not to just have it on playing in the background much when he's playing but occasionally we'll be watching something like football and he's around.

We have tv on alot, its never affected my kids and they all play with their toys independantly and use their imagination, i usually have nursery rhymes or baby sensory on and we sing/dance to songs, we started very early though due to jackson being born with cataracts and the baby sensory was good for him to focus on for his visual developement. He still enjoys outsoors and can go without tv, At the end of the day it comes down to personal choice,

We don’t have the tv on when she’s awake. The only tv she’s watched is the Thanksgivign parade and even then she was too busy playing to pay attention.

We have tv on during the day which is either the news. movie, sports game or a series but my soon isn’t into tv. Sometimes I have played cartoons with music and he does like dancing to the music while he plays and might look at the screen for about 2-3min and that’s it. Which Im pretty thankful he doesn’t like tv.

We don’t do any tv during the week. Baby gets a smidge during the weekend but mostly by chance. 
But we only have one. Makes it easier.
