Did you pick your engagement ring?

Did you pick ur engagement ring/gave hint on what you liked or did you just allow your partner pick whatever ring they wanted for you?

My boyfriend and I have been discussing marriage and I want to send him a picture of the ring that I want, but I don’t know it that sounds cheesy lol. The thing is that I am not a big fan of jewelleries and I want a ring that I will be wearing for the rest of my life(amen) to be something that I really like and I would always smile when I look at it

He proposed without a ring and we went right after for me to pick one out. He and i don’t have the same taste in jewelry and I’m glad we got to choose together.

My husband and I had gone to to jewelry store together and looked at things. I showed him the style I liked (it was exactly what he thought which was cool).
He chose the actual ring himself later on. I don’t think there is anything wrong with sending a picture or like a Pinterest board of things you like. 
I do think at the end of the day he should pick the ring he thinks you would love, and that he wants to make that commitment with. I always joke with my husband he could have given me a twist tie and I’d have said yes 🥰

I would show him pictures of ones I liked , he apparently thought they looked like Walmart  rings because they were very simple 😂. He wanted to give me something more . His sister actually went with him to get mine and I love my ring . There’s no shame in showing him what you want!

I picked the band and what shape I wanted the diamond. He picked out the center diamond and the size.

My boyfriend hasn’t proposed yet, he plans to but he’s got a couple goals he wants to meet first and also wants to  really surprise me since I know it is going to happen. It’s hard to surprise me so he’s going to have to be clever for me to not see it coming.
Anyhow, I have given him an idea of what I want for the stones and type of metal but given him freedom in terms of style. I don’t want to take away from him ultimately choosing a ring for me but I have some preferences since I intend to wear it for the rest of my life.

Kind of. My husband proposed with a ring of his own that is now mine. We went shopping together for my actual engagement ring, but he knew what I liked already.

I showed my fiancé exactly what I liked and what I hated. And he went with something completely opposite or what I showed him but I absolutely love mine 😂 idk why he asked what I liked if he wasn’t going to listen anyway
